The State of Victoria right now is Hitler’s wet dream

Dictatorship. Well, that was easy.

Hitler couldn’t conceive such a deliciously easy takeover where the people mostly lock themselves up, get angry about having too much freedom, snitch on neighbours to authorities, support the censorship and punishment of independent journalism, have no memories for inconsistency and corruption, who are totally gullible, who want to have their opinions and views decided for them,  have sole, unending faith and dependence on the government, and are just begging for forced inoculations. All because of a virus that most people recover from and is expected to become a mere common cold in the next few years.

We are in a dictatorship. We can’t move. We can’t travel. We can’t breathe. We can’t see loved ones. We can’t protest. We can’t work. Victoria has been poisoned. How did we get here?

Such flaccid spirit, such apathy for liberty. People want to feel like good people without responsibility or getting criticism, and so they do it through a proxy. A lot of them are godless or faithless, and therefore have no higher authority, entrusting it to governments and scientists and activists and whatever sounds good. They live vicariously through a Frankenstein of ideologies without scrutinising what they even mean. They don’t question authorities because they really don’t want to know the answer. And so their proxy just has to be modern, progressive, have noble connotations of justice and inclusivity, sound credible, liberal and validate you when you jump on the band wagon. Such people entrust their entire being into ideals they don’t even know, and mindlessly hate you if you’re seen or proven to be the opposite. They’re directionless, gutless and afraid – they’re the kids that befriend the bully. They just want to be on the winning side because they’ve never won on their own. Their intellectual and moral cowardice leaves them to be suggestible. Those supporters become the numbers tyrants need for optics of credibility. In a twisted way, government critics and political dissidents become ists, phobes, conspiracy theorists, criminals and plain selfish, persecuted to no end. Those people are silenced and deplatformed. The law then becomes the utterance of a person or select people separate from democratic input. Subjugation in perpetuity. Zero competition. Hitler’s wet dream.

Is freedom a relic now? With endless access to information, history and understanding at your fingertips unlike anything since the beginning of Creation, and this is the best society we could produce? This is Victoria’s last line of defence in a civilian population facing the end of financial independence, travel, community, freedom against forced medical treatment, and removal of reliable and unbiased information? This is it? A whimper at best?

The idea that we cannot be subjugated because we’re an indulgent, spoiled society is absurd. Without a little diligence, Hansel and Gretel would’ve been eaten. This is modern warfare and the soft takeover. You imprison people within their leisure and eliminate their responsibility, which is the dangling carrot of productivity. You swap people’s freedom for security and a bunch of free stuff and they’ll say yes to anything. Divert their suspicions with patronising encouragement that they’re helping the world and you’ll appeal to an ego that will prod no more.

It makes me wonder if we were ever free in the purest sense. The test of freedom is not what you can do in times of peace but what you can still do when that peace is threatened. Before we knew it, we’re here pushing back on a keyboard in vain and protesting out into the ether for nothing but the smirk of a smug, big-eared joker who’s taken everything from everyone just to have over one hundred thousand sycophants poise to give him a virtual hug. So there you go.
